If you’ve ever desired to punch somebody in the face, this card battle game gets close. It’s the most visceral cerebral challenge you could hope for. The matches get ultra aggressive in just a few turns, designed to escalate. Set in a dystopian world that was ravaged by nuclear war, the setting is as grim as it gets. The bleak metropolitan city, Neostesia, is one of the final bastions of civilization and it’s so utterly corrupt, everyone is a gang leader. Even the damn mayor is a gangster!

The grey territories can be built 2 at a time per turn, and colored territories that actually let you play some good cards are built at the pace of 1 per turn. You need to create colored areas to unlock cards of that color.
There are four factions, and they are cyborgs, mutants, the government, and gangsters! You have just one goal: Kick the enemy gang leader’s health points all the way down to zero.
Each match, you and your opponent start building territories, then one of you decides the timing of the engagement and the fight begins. One of you wins that skirmish, taking the banks in the region. Pull ahead and kill him.
The maps are small and facilitate aggressive play. You can reach your opponent in just two turns and start pounding them. I like playing the Drugs Mobster, as her stats are 4/6. She produces a free red zone when she enters play. She lets me unlock my strongest red cards fast.
You can play aggro decks, but the restrictive resource system discourages fast games. A smart opponent will be logistically equipped to deal with aggression. You brawl in skirmishes around the banks, like it’s a war over corners.
This is the kind of well-paced PvP experience you’ll enjoy. Plenty of back-and-forth before the final blow.
There are many different cards, allowing for a ridiculous variety of strategies. In time, I’m sure the best decks eliminate the diversity, but until then, explore crazy ideas as much as you like!
