Shion is our young hero. He is unable to use his magical powers even after coming of age. He is left in the care of a family that specializes in paranormal research. He’s taken under the mentorship of a skilled healer, named Rui. She promises to teach him how to control his powers. But in order to command magic, a mage must have profound knowledge about sex!
Rui is so dedicated to helping out the fledling mage that she decides to go against her marriage vows, tutoring him to pleasure a woman.
Quoted directly from Mangagamer’s site: Rui is a skilled healer and Souya’s wife. She is the popular beauty of the village, equally loved by everyone. Cheerful and kind, she greatly respects her husband. Rui always dreamed of having a child, and Shion’s arrival granted her the perfect chance to finally channel all of her motherly love towards someone. As the village healer, Rui is a skilled user of restorative magic… although she lacks a partner who can appropriately replenish her mana!
However, the story has elements that can make it a less lovey-dovey mommy fetish romp. The other characters have their darker sides, such as the village chief, Gou, who is also Rui’s husband’s father. Rui’s husband is named Souya, which rhymes with soy! He’s a physically weak beta with glasses, who mostly spends his time in the basement, leaving his wife sexually frustrated, which Gou knows about. Gou is secretly a pervert who’s been developing his relations with Rui, with full plans to corrupt her! To reach this goal, he hires and guides several men to partake in his plot, turning the pious wife into a sexual powerhouse who won’t resist the approaches of men! The player’s juicy choices shape the storyline.
This game is not exactly a visual novel, despite being fairly linear and story-focused. It has gameplay elements typical of RPGs, but it’s light on actual mechanics. You progress the story by controlling your character, who visits various locations shown on the map screen.
Alicesoft removed most of the complexity. You basically either spend time with Rui when you can, or you don’t. You have a few options to choose from, but the choices lead to very predictable outcomes. By defeating demons leaking from the magical gate, you gain ‘EP’, which you use to unlock the next chapter.
As per the enemies, demons that you fight during the night are much stronger than the ones that appear during the day, but the bonus is that they grant more EP upon defeat, allowing you to progress faster.
As for combat, Shion automatically defeats any demons he fights, but you have to make sure to escape from the gate before he exhausts his endurance and magical power. You should be careful of swarms of enemies that wouldn’t give a lot of EP exhausting you!
In the NTR route, the game takes the form of a decision-based visual narrative adventure. The protagonist is Souya, Rui’s husband, controlled by the player. The decisions made in the story will ultimately decide Rui’s fate.
One key thing about this route is keeping an eye on the ‘Couple’s Bond’ metric. If the value gets too low, the player will be unable to select certain options during decision points, resulting in either a bad ending, or getting locked on a path you didn’t want. One way to fix it is by visiting Rui’s clinic.
